Scotland – a call to arms
CMM managing director, Graham Allen, has contributed to the debate over independence for Scotland in the NACFB’s latest online publication. Please read on for a flavour of what Graham has to say and follow the link to access the full article:
“As if alarming weather conditions and stubborn uncertainties over the UK’s economic recovery aren’t enough to contend with, we are increasingly reminded of the possibility of Scotland leaving the UK.
Initially, David Cameron put out a soft appeal, asking everyone south of the border with Scots relatives and friends to plead for a “No” vote on the grounds that a break-up of the Union would be deeply unsettling and leave what remains of the UK bereft.
More recently, ranks have been closed over the possibility of an independent Scotland retaining sterling as its currency.”
